There are universal patterns of argumentation that can be applied in any situation and any industry, such as causality, deduction, induction, proof, comparison and many others. To know them is a big advantage.

In contrast to abstract types of argumentation, concrete patterns of argumentation draw their strength from a very specific area: In this thematic block we learn economic, legal, moral, idealistic and many other patterns of argumentation.

Each participant gives a speech on argumentation in which he uses abstract and concrete types of argumentation and implements in practice what he has learned so far. The speech will be recorded on video and the participant will receive detailed feedback.

Rational argumentation versus emotional argumentation

Not only rational, thus reasonable, reasons are able to convince people. Emotions can also be used to get people to change their opinions and actions. This section deals with these emotional patterns of argumentation.

Can you briefly describe the profile of your argumentation trainers?

Our argumentation trainers are nationally and internationally excellent speakers. Our trainers have received awards in various national and international speech competitions: TOP speakers, World Cup quarter-finalists, German champions in debating, finalists in various competitions.

How many people can attend an in-house argumentation training?

The fewer people participate in an argumentation seminar, the more possibilities the individual has to exercise. We recommend a maximum of 12 active participants, with an unlimited number of employees who can be present as so-called “silent observers”.

The trainer addresses the argumentative challenges of each participant in 2 detailed feedbacks per employee.

Are the practical argumentation exercises tailored to our company needs?

Yes! The argumentation training is explicitly geared towards the everyday practical requirements in argumentative situations of your employees.

Every employee has the opportunity to complete 2 speeches on one day of the seminar. In these exercises, which are integrated in the seminar schedule, the goal is to immediately apply the learned principles of arguing and the types of argumentation in practice.

What is the relationship between theory and practice?

For years we have observed that the speeches with a focus on argumentation have the greatest learning effect for our clients.

And that they regularly regard our speech exercises as the “highlight”. However, since it is your training, you can specify exactly the relationship between theory and practice.

That is why we attach great importance to practice. Further information on the content and exercises can be found in the seminar schedule.

Do participants also receive video feedback?

We offer to accompany the argumentation seminar with a camera. This method has proven to be very useful in the past and was found to be extremely informative by the participants, as the video enables a more detailed analysis of the content of the 2 speeches as well as the effect of body language.

If you or individual employees do not want video analysis, of course we can do without.

Which seminar variant is the best for my team?

We recommend the “classical training” (BASIC) if you would like to book a basic seminar for your team on the topic of convincing argumentation, in which fundamental argumentation techniques and concepts are discussed.

The “tailor-made training” (PRO) variant is recommended if you would like to deal with company-specific argumentation topics with your team and the basic knowledge is already available.

And we recommend the third variant, “tailor-made & online library” (PREMIUM), if you want to give your employees long-term access to valuable knowledge, with each participant having access to the Argumentorik Masterclas (over 30 online courses) so that each participant can develop independently.

You can combine the classic and tailor-made seminar into a 2-day event.

Is it possible to conduct the training online (e.g. using Zoom or Microsoft Teams)?

Yes! We already have a lot of experience – and above all – very good experience when it comes to online trainings. Our preferred online tool is Zoom.

Of course we are flexible and use your preferred online tool successfully as well. Because in “digital rhetoric” it is not only a question of the technology, but also of a professional appearance in front of the camera.
